Roithang — Privacy Policy

Roithang is a motorcycle navigation and ride-recording app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details — email address, username, profile photo, and bio when you create an account.
• Location data — GPS position while you use navigation or record a ride, with your permission. Saved routes and recorded tracks (including their GPS paths, speed, and elevation) are stored in your account.
• Content you create — photos you attach to rides, place reviews, community map points, posts and comments, and your vehicle details.
• Subscription status — your plan and remaining AI credits. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
• Usage of AI features — when you use the AI assistant we log the feature used, credits spent, and duration.

How we use it

To provide the app's features: turn-by-turn navigation, ride recording and statistics, syncing your data across devices, social features (feed, groups, reviews), and managing your subscription credits. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

What other users can see

Content you explicitly share is visible to other users: rides you post to the feed or groups, place reviews, and community map points. Private routes and recordings stay private to your account.

Service providers

• Supabase — database and sign-in (data hosted in the Asia-Pacific region).
• Cloudflare — storage and delivery of photos you upload.
• Mapbox — map display, directions, and place search. Your device sends map queries (coordinates and IP address) to Mapbox to provide these features.
• Apple — subscription payments and receipt validation.
• OpenAI — when you talk to the AI voice assistant, your voice audio is processed in real time to generate responses.
• Google — only if you add your own Gemini API key in Settings; the key is stored on your device only.
• Wikipedia — place information is fetched from Wikipedia when you view certain points of interest.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, routes, recorded tracks, photos, reviews, posts, and vehicles, and cannot be undone.

Children

Roithang is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
